The Peugeot e-308 SW is a fully electric compact estate car built by Peugeot, a Stellantis brand. For the 2026 model year it received a larger battery pack and a revised front end. WLTP range for the estate is 275 miles (442 km). UK pricing starts at £41,250.
It is one of the only electric estates in its segment. That alone makes it worth paying attention to — not because of any headline performance figure, but because most carmakers have skipped the format entirely in favour of SUVs.
The e-308 SW is the estate (station wagon) version of Peugeot’s 308, with a fully electric powertrain. It sits in the mid-range of Peugeot’s EV lineup — above the e-208 city car and below the e-3008 SUV crossover.
It runs on Stellantis’s EMP2 V3 platform, shared with the DS 4 and the Vauxhall Astra Electric. Drivetrain is front-wheel drive, powered by a single front-mounted motor. There is no AWD variant.
Body style: five-door estate. Seating: five. Boot capacity: 548 litres, expanding when the rear seats fold flat.
The 2026 Peugeot e-308 SW uses an NMC battery rated at approximately 55 kWh. The exact usable capacity figure has not been independently confirmed at time of writing — published figures from different sources are inconsistent, so treat sub-specifications with caution until Peugeot releases official documentation for the updated pack.
WLTP range for the SW estate: 275 miles (442 km).
That puts it ahead of the Ford Puma Gen-E and the Renault 4 on range, but short of the MG S5 EV and the entry-level Kia EV3.
Motor output: 115 kW (156 hp), 260 Nm of torque. 0–100 km/h: 10.5 seconds. Top speed: 170 km/h (106 mph).
| Charging type | Rate | Time |
|---|---|---|
| AC (standard) | 7.4 kW | 0–100% in ~6 hr 51 min |
| AC (optional) | 11 kW | 0–100% in ~4 hr 37 min |
| DC fast charge | 100 kW peak | 10–80% in ~30 min |
The 100 kW DC rate is unchanged from the pre-facelift model. It is competitive for the segment — faster than the MG5 EV, but slower than the Volkswagen ID.3 which peaks at 135 kW. Real-world 10–80% charge times will vary depending on ambient temperature, battery state of charge, and charger condition. Peugeot quotes 30 minutes as the minimum; 40–45 minutes is more realistic in everyday use.
Charge port is located on the left rear. Connector: CCS Combo 2 in Europe.
UK pricing starts at £41,250 for the Allure trim. The GT variant adds £2,070, bringing it to £43,320. European pricing is in the €45,000–€46,000 range.
There is no official Stellantis dealer network in sub-Saharan Africa. Grey-market imports into Nigeria, Kenya, or South Africa are possible through independent importers. At current exchange rates, landed cost in Nigeria would realistically exceed ₦70–₦80 million — not including import duty or port clearance fees.
It suits families or company car drivers who want a practical electric car with genuine boot space and prefer the estate profile over a crossover. The 548-litre boot is a meaningful advantage over the hatchback (361 litres) and over most compact electric SUVs in the same price band.
It is not the right choice for anyone prioritising performance, one-pedal driving, or the lowest possible purchase price.
Within Peugeot: The e-308 SW sits between the e-208 (smaller, cheaper, city-focused) and the e-3008 (SUV format, longer range, higher price).
Closest external rivals:
The single closest match for a like-for-like comparison is the Astra Sports Tourer Electric. Same drivetrain, same boot space, similar price — the differences come down to badge preference and interior feel.
