PROS

  1. Large range figures with long-range battery option
  2. Seven-seat layout fits larger families or groups
  3. Strong DC charging supports decent stops on long trips

CONS

  1. Charging peak rate is capped relative to some rivals
  2. Real-world range often falls below WLTP in mixed driving

Peugeot e-5008 is a large seven-seat battery electric SUV. It sits in the mid-size SUV segment with a body built for family transport and utility, carrying seven people in a single vehicle. The e-5008 is derived from the 5008 SUV platform but offered with all-electric powertrains.

The e-5008 offers multiple battery options. A standard pack around 73 kWh usable gives WLTP range figures roughly 256 to 310 miles. A larger long-range pack near 98 kWh extends WLTP range up to around 334 to 414 miles under ideal testing conditions. DC fast charging peaks at up to about 160 kW, allowing about 62 miles of added range in roughly 10 minutes and a typical 20–80 percent fill in about 30–40 minutes when conditions are right. AC charging up to around 11 kW is standard, with higher AC power sometimes optional.

Pricing places the e-5008 in the higher end of mainstream electric SUV offerings, reflecting its size and seating capacity. It suits families or groups needing seven seats and long range without frequent stops for charging. From Peugeot’s line, similar models include the Peugeot e-3008 and the Peugeot e-2008. Alternatives to consider include the Volkswagen ID. Buzz and the Kia EV9. Compared with the ID. Buzz, the e-5008 is more conventional SUV in handling and seating, while the ID. Buzz offers a more upright interior and sliding doors for passenger access.
