Spy photos of the Nio ET9 interior surfaced just two days ago. The automobile has been fully shown ahead of its premiere on Nio Day, December 21. Notably, we discover that the ET9 will have a huge frunk.
The rectangular multifunction steering wheel apparently has steer-by-wire technology. There is also an AR head-up display system that produces the equivalent of a 120-inch display.
A photo of the second row reveals two entertainment units positioned on the back of the front seats. According to reports, the two independent seats feature 24 patent technology that they invented themselves. The seat cushion can be as wide as 582 mm, and the backrest angle can be changed to 45 degrees. According to reports, there is also an executive-style desk and a refrigerator, making the experience similar to that of business class.
The Skyride intelligent chassis system has rear-wheel steering and full active suspension. It can make 1000 torque adjustments per second and has four-wheel independent control to satisfy the demands of various driving circumstances.
Nio’s Shenji NX9031, a 5 nm automotive-grade intelligent driving chip, powers the vehicle’s systems. This chip is paired with the SkyOS Tianshu operating system to create a self-designed intelligent system architecture.
The automobile has dimensions of 5324/2016/1620mm and a wheelbase of 3250 mm, making it by far the largest Nio to date. It should also be noted that at that height, the automobile resembles an SUV coupe rather than a sedan. The weight is 2700 kg.
Nio’s flagship has 23-inch Pirelli PZERO EV-specific tires. Along with a trunk, the vehicle boasts rear privacy glass and twin dash daytime running lights.
Pre-sales prices for the car were 800,000 yuan (110,000 USD). The Nio ET9 will be equipped with a new 120 kWh battery pack and the first global 900 V high-voltage architecture in China. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in early 2025.
