Xpeng has released the first official interior images of its GX flagship SUV, one day ahead of the model’s scheduled April 15 launch. Pricing is expected to come in under 400,000 yuan (roughly $58,000), putting it directly in the path of the Aito M9 and Li Auto L9.
The cabin runs a 2+2+2 independent six-seat layout. Up front, the dashboard gets a large ultra-narrow bezel central screen paired with a digital instrument cluster and AR-HUD. Two dedicated buttons flank the steering wheel — almost certainly for assisted driving functions, though Xpeng hasn’t confirmed specifics.

Zero-gravity second row, flat-folding third
Second-row passengers get zero-gravity seats with extra-long sliding rails and electric leg rests. The third row supports flat folding and comes with independent headrests. An overhead entertainment screen sits in front of the second-row occupants, with roof-mounted air conditioning vents above.
The centre console adds wireless phone charging and two cup holders. Underneath, there’s an open storage bay sized for umbrellas and backpacks — a practical touch that doesn’t get mentioned enough in six-figure SUVs.

The headline feature: 0.16-second AI-dimming glass
Xpeng says the GX is the world’s first production vehicle with AI-controlled privacy glass capable of switching rear window tint in 0.16 seconds, covering both the second and third rows. Whether that claim holds up to scrutiny will be one of the more interesting things to verify at launch.

Dimensions and powertrain
The GX measures 5,265 mm long, 1,999 mm wide, and 1,800 mm tall, with a 3,115 mm wheelbase. It features a split tailgate design and comes with steer-by-wire and rear-wheel steering as standard.

Two powertrain options are available: an extended-range version and a pure electric variant. The EV version rides on an 800V platform with a 5C supercharging battery, hitting 0–100 km/h in the low-4-second range with a claimed range of 750 km.
Full pricing and specs arrive April 15.
