Jetour Brings Plug-in Hybrid SUV to Nigeria — Here Are the Full Specs and Dealers

Jetour has launched the T2 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) in Nigeria, adding a hybrid SUV to a market that has largely relied on petrol-only options. The model is now available through Elizade Nigeria Limited, Kojo Motors, Mandilas Autos and other accredited dealers nationwide.

The T2 PHEV measures 4,785mm long, 2,006mm wide and 1,875mm tall — firmly in large-SUV territory. Jetour pitches it as a vehicle that can handle Lagos gridlock and unpaved rural roads without asking the driver to choose between fuel economy and ground clearance.

How the Hybrid System Works

The powertrain pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 26.73kWh battery pack and a three-speed Super E-Hybrid Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT). In everyday use, the car can run entirely on electric power. When the battery runs low, the petrol engine kicks in as a generator — it charges the pack rather than driving the wheels directly.

Charging options include fast charging, slow (AC) charging, engine-assisted charging and regenerative braking. That range of replenishment methods is a direct response to Nigeria’s patchy public charging infrastructure, where range anxiety is a genuine concern rather than a theoretical one.

Safety and Technology

On the safety side, the T2 PHEV carries Advanced Emergency Braking, anti-rollover control, lane departure warning, blind-spot detection, collision alerts, bend braking control and a 360-degree camera with 2D and 3D view modes. The braking system also includes an Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold.

The cabin centres on a 15.6-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, voice commands and wireless charging. A 12-speaker Sony audio system, adaptive cruise control, panoramic roof, ventilated power seats and LED Matrix headlamps round out the interior.

Warranty and Brand Standing

Jetour is covering the T2 PHEV with a five-year or 150,000-kilometre warranty. The brand has moved quickly since entering Nigeria — it picked up the Fastest Growing Brand award at the 2024 Nigeria Auto Journalists Association Awards, and its Dashing model was named Nigeria’s Car of the Year in 2025.
