Zeekr has officially launched the Zeekr 001 Five-Year Anniversary Edition, priced from 365,000 yuan (approximately $50,400 USD), bringing a factory-engineered FR-Line performance package, KW coilover suspension, and Brembo six-piston brakes to its flagship electric shooting brake.
Performance Specs Unchanged — But the Hardware Gets Serious
The Anniversary Edition is built on the Zeekr 001 Ultra+ dual-motor platform, carrying over its 680 kW combined output, 2.91-second 0–100 km/h acceleration, and 280 km/h top speed. The powertrain remains untouched, but that’s not the point of this release.
Underneath sits the same 103 kWh Qilin battery operating on a 900V electrical architecture with 6C fast-charging support. Zeekr claims a 10% to 80% charge in approximately 10 minutes — one of the fastest rates in a production EV today. CLTC range is rated at 680 km, marginally lower than the standard Ultra+.
What Is the FR-Line Package?
The FR-Line package borrows visual DNA from the range-topping Zeekr 001 FR. Exterior upgrades include:
- Carbon-fibre mirror caps and rear spoiler
- Dual-tone glacier silver and black body finish
- Anniversary-edition red badging
- 22-inch forged wheels with Pirelli P Zero tyres
- Brembo six-piston brake callipers
KW Coilover Suspension: Three Years in Development
The headline chassis upgrade is a co-developed KW coilover suspension system, standard on all Anniversary Edition units. It offers:
- 16 levels of rebound adjustment
- 12 levels of compression adjustment
- Up to 35 mm of ride-height adjustment
Zeekr states calibration required over 200 parameter adjustments on a seven-post rig across a three-year development programme, targeting improved pitch control and steering response.
Cockpit and Technology
Inside, the FR-Line black-and-red cabin features suede-finish upholstery, embroidered branding, active side bolsters, and a performance-oriented steering wheel with dual rotary controls.
The infotainment stack is headline-worthy on its own:
- 39.3-inch AR-HUD
- 13.02-inch digital instrument cluster
- 16-inch central touchscreen
- 8-inch rear passenger control screen
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip running Zeekr AI OS
- 29-speaker, 4,680W Dolby audio system
Front and rear seats are heated, ventilated, and offer massage functions.
How It Fits the Chinese EV Market
The Zeekr 001 Anniversary Edition slots below the limited-production Zeekr 001 FR in the brand’s lineup — effectively making FR-grade chassis hardware accessible at a lower price point. Its primary competition includes the Xiaomi SU7 Max and IM L6 Performance variants in China’s rapidly expanding high-performance EV segment.
