The BYD Seal U is a battery-electric SUV from BYD, built for the midsize segment with a practical five-door body aimed at families.
It runs on BYD’s Blade LFP batteries. Most markets get two pack options, roughly 72 kWh and 87 kWh, with WLTP range landing near 420 km on the smaller one and around 500 km on the larger. AC charging tops out at 11 kW, and DC fast charging peaks somewhere between 115 kW and 140 kW depending on the version.
Pricing puts it in the mid-range electric SUV bracket — a solid fit for families and commuters who want space without watching running costs climb. It goes up against the Tesla Model Y and Volkswagen ID.4, and the closest match on size and range is probably the Skoda Enyaq.
