Geely has officially unveiled the Galaxy A7 EV, a pure electric mid-size sedan now cleared by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The battery-electric model joins the existing Galaxy A7 PHEV, currently priced between 89,800–125,800 yuan (~$13,000–$18,200), with EV pricing yet to be announced.
EXTERIOR: Sleeker, Slightly Bigger Than the PHEV The Galaxy A7 EV adopts a closed-grille front fascia with vertical fog lamp trim elements — a clear visual departure from its hybrid sibling. The charging port sits on the right front fender.

Dimensionally, the EV is marginally larger than the PHEV:
| Spec | A7 EV | A7 PHEV |
|---|---|---|
| Length | 4,935mm | 4,918mm |
| Width | 1,905mm | 1,905mm |
| Height | 1,500mm | 1,495mm |
| Wheelbase | 2,845mm | 2,845mm |
Tire options include 215/60 R17 and 225/55 R18. The rear carries a refined through-type taillight strip for a more premium finish.

INTERIOR: Dual Screens and AI Cockpit The cabin mirrors the PHEV’s layout, anchored by a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch or 15.4-inch central touchscreen. The A7 EV will debut Geely’s Galaxy Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit — featuring Widget card mode, four-zone AI voice interaction, visible-to-speak recognition, and continuous dialogue.
Connectivity covers Apple CarPlay, HiCar, Flyme Link, and ICCOA.

FEATURES: Premium Kit as Standard Carried over from the PHEV, expect:
- 360° 5-degree panoramic imaging
- 16-speaker Flyme Sound system with driver headrest speakers
- 50W wireless charging
- Bluetooth digital key
- Dual-zone automatic climate control
- 256-color ambient lighting

POWERTRAIN & RANGE: Two Battery Options The Galaxy A7 EV is powered by a 160kW (215hp) electric motor paired with LFP (lithium iron phosphate) batteries in two configurations:
| Battery | CLTC Range |
|---|---|
| 49.52 kWh | 470 km (~292 miles) |
| 58.05 kWh | 550 km (~342 miles) |
WHY IT MATTERS: The Geely Galaxy A7 EV enters a fiercely competitive segment against rivals like the BYD Seal and Deepal S07. With a 550km range, Flyme AI cockpit, and upscale interior tech, it positions Geely’s Galaxy sub-brand firmly in the mainstream premium EV space — pricing will be the decisive factor.
