The Geely Galaxy E5 features a single electric motor with a peak output of 160 kW and torque of 236 lb-ft. The E5 can go from 0 to 62 mph in 6.9 seconds. The E5 has two battery pack options: a 49.52 kWh pack with a CLTC range of 273 miles and a bigger 60.22 kWh pack with a CLTC range of 329 miles. As is customary, the CLTC statistics should be interpreted with caution. According to Cnevpost, The Geely Galaxy E5 is the first model to use Geely’s revolutionary Aegis Short Blade Battery. This lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery cell has an energy density of 192 Wh/kg and a long life of up to 3,500 charging cycles. Geely claims that this equates to driving 1 million kilometers (620,000 miles) with no impact on range.

With a starting price of under $15,750 (RMB 112,800), With a starting price of RMB 112,800 (about $15,750), the E5 undercuts several of its competitors in the electric SUV sector. Geely intends to sell the E5 in both left- and right-hand drive options, making it a genuinely global product. Although the cost will undoubtedly alter when the E5 enters new countries, it’s difficult to envision Geely selling a family electric SUV in Europe for less than $20,000. Related
