The CLA EV will be offered in two primary configurations:
CLA 250+: This rear-wheel-drive model features a single electric motor producing 268 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque.
CLA 350 4MATIC: This all-wheel-drive variant combines dual electric motors to deliver a total of 349 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque.
The CLA 250+ boasts a WLTP driving range of up to 492 miles (792 km), surpassing the range of the current EQS 450+. The CLA 350 4MATIC offers a slightly lower range due to its additional power and all-wheel-drive system.
Equipped with 800V technology, the CLA EV can add approximately 200 miles (321 km) of range in just 10 minutes when using a compatible fast charger.
The CLA 350 4MATIC can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds, offering a dynamic driving experience.
While official pricing has not been announced, it’s anticipated that the CLA EV will be priced above the current gas-powered CLA, which starts in the mid-$40,000 range, but below the EQE model.
The 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA EV is expected to go on sale in the fall of 2025, with a hybrid version to follow shortly thereafter.
The CLA EV features a sleek design with a drag coefficient of 0.21, enhancing its aerodynamic efficiency. Inside, it offers advanced technology, including a “superscreen” infotainment system that allows passengers to engage with various multimedia options.
