Zeekr, Geely’s fast-growing electric vehicle brand, has officially unveiled its latest model—the Zeekr 7X. Debuting at the Chengdu Auto Show, this family-focused electric SUV is expected to hit the Chinese market by the end of September, with global deliveries planned for next year. As Zeekr expands its mainstream lineup, the 7X is positioned as a major competitor in the global electric SUV segment.

Zeekr 7X Powertrain and Performance

The Zeekr 7X comes in both single-motor and dual-motor configurations. Every model features a 310 kW silicon carbide rear motor, while dual-motor versions add a 165 kW front motor, enabling an impressive 0–62 mph time of just 3.8 seconds.

Built on an advanced 800V high-voltage platform, the 7X supports ultra-fast charging and offers two battery choices:

  • 75 kWh LFP battery – CLTC range of 376 miles
  • 100 kWh NMC battery – CLTC range of 485 miles

Zeekr claims the LFP variant delivers the world’s fastest charging, jumping from 10% to 80% in 10.5 minutes.

Dimensions, Platform, and Market Positioning

The Zeekr 7X is built on Geely’s SEA architecture and is positioned as a direct rival to the Tesla Model Y. Pre-sale pricing starts at RMB 239,000 ($33,680).

Key dimensions:

  • Length: 4,825 mm
  • Width: 1,930 mm
  • Height: 1,656 mm
  • Wheelbase: 2,925 mm

Despite being slightly smaller than competitors like the Nio ES6 and Xpeng G9, Zeekr says the 7X offers the most spacious cabin in its class.

Design and Exterior Features

The SUV’s styling follows Zeekr’s “Hidden Energy” design language. The sleek front end incorporates the Zeekr Stargate interactive LCD strip, capable of displaying images and messages—an eye-catching feature that sets the 7X apart from typical EV designs.

Interior Technology and Luxury Features

Inside, the Zeekr 7X delivers a premium tech-forward experience:

  • Floating center infotainment screen
  • Digital instrument cluster
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipset
  • Rear tray tables (airline-style)
  • Optional rear entertainment screens
  • Heated and ventilated rear seats on higher trims

For safety and driver assistance, the 7X includes dual Nvidia Orin-X chips, LiDAR, high-definition cameras, and mmWave radar sensors—supporting an advanced ADAS suite.

The cabin also features 32 storage compartments and a 616-liter trunk, giving the SUV strong practicality for families.

Zeekr’s Growing EV Lineup

The Zeekr 7X is the brand’s second mass-market EV, following the Zeekr 001 sedan launched in December 2023. Other models—such as the Zeekr 009 minivan and the Zeekr X compact SUV—target more specialized segments.

With its competitive pricing, rapid charging, long-range battery options, spacious interior, and powerful drivetrain, the Zeekr 7X is poised to become a standout contender in the global electric SUV market.
