Aptera is a freshly resurrected firm that plans to bring the first solar-powered electric vehicle to the mainstream market. The business displays a three-wheeled prototype that is highly efficient and powered primarily by solar panels. The most essential thing to note is that Aptera intends to really construct this prototype, but funding is a bit problematic.
The car was built with the assistance of Italian Pininfarina designers, who used part of their resources and the wind tunnel in Turin. The vehicle boasts an amazing 0.13 Cd drag coefficient, making it a highly efficient EV.
The automobile also has 700W of embedded solar cells, which may give 40 miles of range per day. The total range is predicted to be 400 miles, which is not too bad.
Aptera tried this in 2011, but was unable to get the necessary finance. However, since 2020, the startup has been rejuvenated by crowdfunding and private financing. It remains to be seen if the car will be mass-produced, but we are not optimistic.
