The Great Wall Motor Group (GWM) is China’s eighth-largest company right now, but it wants to grow. These days, the only way to do that is to make new electric vehicles. EVs from new names, which seems to be the norm in China these days.
It is said that GWM is doing just that. It will start a new brand, which is currently called ZX, and seems to focus on very high-end luxury cars. The leaked picture below shows its first model, which will be about 5,500 mm long. That’s a little longer than the Rolls-Royce Ghost and the Mercedes Maybach S-Class, so it will try to compete with those.
We don’t know much else about it right now, which is a shame. It appears that GWM’s current sellers won’t be selling the new brand. Instead, the group itself might sell it online or in its stores.
However, GWM is now focusing more and more on electric cars. It still makes and sells a lot of internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. People may think of it more often now that it has a new brand, especially since the styles are so visually appealing. We’ll let you know when we learn more, so stay tuned.
