Blind preorders for Leapmotor‘s new full-size flagship, the D19 crossover, which is backed by Stellantis, have officially begun in China. With a remarkable 80.3 kWh capacity and a range of up to 500 km in pure EV mode, the extended-range (EREV) variant has the largest battery pack in its class.

Launch Timeline and Preorder Details

The Leapmotor D19, which will be offered in both BEV and EREV versions, was first introduced on October 16 and is anticipated to enter the Chinese market in the first half of 2026. Leapmotor declared on November 1 that it had started blind preorders, a Chinese practice in which buyers can reserve a car before the official price is disclosed.

Customers who pay a deposit of 999 yuan ($140) are granted priority delivery rights, and the Signature Edition of the D19 crossover is available to the first 2,000 buyers. Before the full market launch in 2026, the interior design will be unveiled by the end of 2025.
