VinFast VF 3 Deliveries Officially Start in Vietnam
The VinFast VF 3, VinFast’s affordable mini SUV, has officially begun deliveries in Vietnam, roughly six months after its announcement earlier this year. The EV starts at VND 322 million ($12,800) with the battery included, while a battery subscription plan allows customers to purchase the VF 3 for as low as VND 235 million ($9,250).
VinFast VF 3 Battery Subscription Model
VinFast’s innovative battery subscription scheme reduces the upfront cost of the VF 3 by keeping ownership of the battery with the company. Customers pay a monthly subscription fee for as long as they keep the vehicle. This model makes the VF 3 more accessible for first-time EV buyers while keeping costs predictable.
Record-Breaking Popularity in Vietnam
The VinFast VF 3 has proven extremely popular in its home market, receiving 27,649 pre-orders in just 66 hours, setting a new local record for EV demand. Early shipments are already underway, with the company targeting at least 20,000 units delivered by the end of 2024 and 80,000 total vehicles shipped by year-end 2024.
VinFast VF 3 International Expansion
VinFast plans to bring the VF 3 overseas. The Philippines will be the first country outside Vietnam to receive the compact SUV, followed by Europe, Southeast Asia, and the United States in 2025. This international rollout marks VinFast’s continued ambition to expand its footprint in the global EV market.
