Polestar 4 Price

The US debut of the Polestar 4 has finally taken place. Early birds may place their orders in late April for as little as $54,900 for the “Long range Single motor” model, which is the entry-level option. The base price for the all-wheel-drive “Long range Dual motor” model with the “standard Pilot Pack” is $62,900. No earlier than October will see the beginning of deliveries, which will occur in the fourth quarter of this year. Prices do not include the destination charge of $1,400.

The fact that Polestar has lowered the beginning price from its original estimate of around $60,000 to $54,900 is encouraging news. The real test of its success will be how it performs in a highly competitive pricing bracket. The whole US market price table is here.

Polestar 4 Features

The Pilot Pack includes Pilot Assist and Lane Change Assist, in case you were curious. Swedish gold valve stem caps, black seat belts with a gold stripe, and 21-inch “Pro wheels” are all part of the Pro Pack.

A graphical head-up display, auto-dimming exterior mirrors, more seat position customization options (including a manual leg extension), electronically reclining back seats, MicroTech upholstery, three-zone climate control, rear climate control and entertainment screen, heated steering wheel and back seats, 11kW AC charging, and a premium Harman Kardon audio system are all part of the Plus Pack.

A performance chassis, 22-inch wheels, “Polestar engineered brake discs” (whatever that means), summer performance tires, valve stem covers, and Swedish gold Brembo brake calipers make up the Performance Pack.

For Polestar, the 4 represents “a new breed of SUV coupe” with the inside of an SUV and the exterior of a coupe, combining the best of both worlds. Its size and pricing put it in the middle between the Polestar 2 and 3 models, which is a little perplexing considering the name.

Polestar boasts about the 4’s numerous standard features, which include a digital key, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree parking camera with a 3D image, and a panoramic glass roof, among many more. Polestar claims that the car’s “far wider field of view compared to what is found in most modern vehicles” is made possible by the absence of a back window and the installation of a high-definition screen that displays a live feed from a rear camera located on the roof.

A 15.4-inch landscape-oriented touchscreen runs Android Automotive, the infotainment system of the Polestar 4. Included with this are Google Maps, Google Play, and Google Assistant.
