Arcfox Alpha T5: BAIC Launches New EREV and BEV Lineup

The new Alpha T5 has been formally introduced by BAIC’s premium EV brand Arcfox, which also features updated battery-electric vehicle (BEV) models and an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variant. Seven trim levels are available in the updated lineup, with prices ranging from 113,800 to 158,800 yuan (roughly $16,000 to $22,200 USD).

New Arcfox Alpha T5 EREV Variant

A major highlight of the new lineup is the Alpha T5 EREV, equipped with a 1.5-litre BAIC Shenqing extended-range power system.

• Pure Electric Range: 215 km (CLTC)
• Combined Range: 1215 km
• Acceleration: 0–100 km/h in 6.5 seconds

Strong performance and remarkable efficiency are combined by the electric motor’s 200 kW (268 hp) and 365 N·m of torque, as well as the EREV’s range extender’s 77 kW of power.

Upgraded Arcfox Alpha T5 BEV Models

The BEV variants of the Arcfox Alpha T5 have also received significant updates in both power and configuration.

• Motor Options: 185 kW (248 hp) or 200 kW (268 hp)
• Peak Torque: 320 N·m or 360 N·m
• Battery Options: 64.8 kWh, 74.4 kWh, and 79.2 kWh
• CLTC Range: 560 km, 660 km, and up to 705 km

Smart Technology: Yuanjing Intelligent Driving & Cabin

At launch, BAIC also unveiled two cutting-edge intelligent systems:

• Yuanjing Intelligent Driving: Available in Pro, Max, and Ultra versions, corresponding to L2, L2–L3, and L4 autonomous driving capabilities.
• Yuanjing Intelligent Cabin: Built on a central large model with multi-domain AI agents capable of recognizing voice commands and user emotions.

These systems make the Arcfox Alpha T5 one of the most intelligent EVs in its segment, offering advanced driver-assistance and connected experiences.

• 18-speaker premium audio system

L2-level driver assistance is standard on all models, while the Qualcomm 8775 chip, which enables intelligent parking assistance and urban/highway NOA (Navigate on Autopilot), is available on higher trim levels.
