Toyota has officially launched the right-hand-drive (RHD) version of its bZ3X electric SUV in Hong Kong, priced from HKD 229,600 (≈ USD 29,500). This makes it Toyota’s most affordable model in Hong Kong, beating the previous entry-level Sienta Luxury (HKD 239,460 / USD 30,800).
Developed for the Asian Market
The bZ3X is a result of a joint effort between GAC-Toyota, GAC Group, and Toyota Motor Corporation. It’s built at the GAC Toyota Nansha Plant in Guangzhou. Since its launch in China in March 2025, over 46,000 units have been sold, topping the joint-venture new energy vehicle charts several times.
Meeting Hong Kong’s Growing EV Demand
With EV adoption in Hong Kong nearing 70%, Toyota needed a competitively priced electric vehicle.
According to GAC Toyota Executive Vice President Wen Dali, the bZ3X fills a key gap in Toyota’s Hong Kong lineup and meets strong local demand.
The Hong Kong RHD model is tuned for city driving, with tight-turning capability, urban friendly dimensions, and efficient power use for frequent short trips. Early feedback highlights its spacious interior, modern tech, and high safety standards.

The Toyota bZ3X RHD uses a 150 kW permanent-magnet synchronous motor and a 70.0 kWh LFP (lithium-iron-phosphate) battery, delivering an NEDC range of 565 km (approximately 500–520 km CLTC).
