Limited-Edition Design

The MG Cyberster special edition features a modern twist on the classic Old English White finish, paired with a matching burgundy soft-top roof and burgundy leather interior. This limited-edition convertible will be produced in just 100 individually numbered units, making it a true collector’s car.

Pricing starts at RMB 365,000 (around $51,000 USD) in China.

Performance and Power

Under the hood, the MG Cyberster 100 packs a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup delivering 400 kW (536 hp) of combined power. This electric sports car offers impressive acceleration, capable of sprinting from 0 to 62 mph in just a few seconds.

MG claims a CLTC-rated range, though real-world performance may be lower — typical for most EVs under this testing standard.

A Look Back: The Standard Cyberster Lineup

The MG Cyberster first launched in November 2024 with three versions:

  • Glamour Edition
  • Style Edition
  • Pioneer Edition

Prices for the standard models started at RMB 319,800 ($44,500) for the single-motor variant and went up to RMB 359,800 ($50,000). Deliveries began in late November 2024.

MG’s 100-Year Legacy

Founded in 1924, MG (Morris Garages) became famous for building affordable, sporty British cars such as the MG TC and MGB, both celebrated for their style and performance. Over the decades, MG changed ownership several times before being revitalized under Chinese management by SAIC Motor.

In recent years, the brand has pivoted toward affordable electric vehicles, finding strong success across Europe and Asia.

MG Cyberster in the European Market

While the MG Cyberster special edition emphasizes performance and nostalgia, affordability has become a challenge in the European market. The base Cyberster starts at around $70,000, and the top-spec variant reaches $81,000.

Despite its price tag, the Cyberster remains the only all-electric performance convertible available today — combining MG’s historic spirit with cutting-edge EV technology. It may not yet carry the prestige of legacy sports brands, but it certainly captures attention wherever it goes.
